Empowering through Education
Importance of Education
Education is a human right; it is an indispensable part of every person’s life. It not only helps in community development but also improves the country’s economy. Education system in the urban areas have greatly improved over the years but the situation in the rural areas is still quite dreadful. Even in the 21st century, rural education is still overlooked for which there is a lack of skilled manpower. With quality education we will be able to increase the overall income of the rural areas and alleviate poverty. Sachin Manchanda Foundation has taken the sacred duty to make sure that each and every person in India is properly educated.
Sachin Manchanda Foundation Provides Access to Education
We believe that education is the most powerful weapon and through education sustainable development can be brought within the rural community. By promoting ‘Education for Every Child’, Sachin Manchanda Foundation helps in reducing the number of children getting pushed into early marriages as well as in child labour. Sachin Manchanda Foundation’s “Education First” programme empowers individuals with the means to thrive through learning opportunities.
Enhancing Quality Education
A major issue with delivering quality education in rural areas is that there is a lack of teachers. Another serious problem is that the teachers that are present do not possess the necessary skills to provide quality education. Sachin Manchanda Foundation focuses to improve the quality of education to enhance a person’s capacity to successfully and effectively manage a group of people by providing them with greater information, confidence, skills, and experience. Our training and skill development programme has helped hundreds of people to get employment in various fields. We also train teachers so that they can impart better and quality education to the students.
Some of our initiatives include conducting regular workshops and professional development sessions to help teachers improve their pedagogical abilities, topic knowledge, and classroom management approaches. We provide instructors with the tools they need to create interesting and successful learning experiences by giving them access to the most up-to-date teaching approaches and materials. Furthermore, the foundation encourages teacher cooperation by encouraging information exchange and building a supportive community of educators. Through its efforts in teacher training, the Sachin Manchanda Foundation strives to enhance the quality of education and ensure that every child receives an enriching learning experience guided by skilled and passionate teachers.
Education for Girls
64% of the females in urban areas are literate whereas it’s only 31% in the rural areas. Sachin Manchanda Foundation is on a mission to improve the situation of girl education in rural India. Poverty is one of the major reasons for the low literacy rate among girls. So, we have taken the initiative to provide free education to girls in the areas where the girl child literacy rate is very low. Through scholarships, Sachin Manchanda Foundation has offered financial assistance to girls from marginalised backgrounds, enabling them to pursue their academic aspirations. Additionally, we have established safe and inclusive learning environments by collaborating with schools and communities. Sachin Manchanda Foundation has conducted awareness campaigns to challenge societal norms and break down the barriers that hinder girls’ education. Our mentorship programs, counselling, and life skills training has helped in empowering girls with confidence, resilience, and leadership abilities. By actively supporting girl education, Sachin Manchanda Foundation has made a significant impact in transforming the lives of girls, fostering their empowerment, and breaking the cycle of gender inequality through education.
Overcoming COVID-19 Challenges
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when online classes posed a challenge for underprivileged students in rural India, Sachin Manchanda Foundation stepped forward to provide invaluable support through offline education. Understanding the digital divide and limited access to technology, we implemented innovative solutions to ensure continued learning for these children. Sachin Manchanda Foundation established learning centres in disadvantaged communities, equipped with necessary educational materials, textbooks, and resources. Volunteers were mobilised to conduct in-person classes, adhering to strict safety protocols. The foundation also organised community-driven initiatives, such as outdoor study sessions and small-group tutoring, to provide personalised attention and foster an encouraging learning environment. By extending its reach to remote areas with limited connectivity, we ensured that no child was left behind in their educational journey. Through tireless efforts Sachin Manchanda Foundation played a pivotal role in empowering underprivileged students with offline education, enabling them to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and continue their academic growth.
